Was looking at the recent Lenovo Yoga deal on here for £350, amazing price but the 4Gb ram and lack of backlit keyboard killed it for me.
Managed to find this on AO

8Gb Ram
128gb SSD
11 Hours Battery

I think policy is entirely fair as it's impossible for them to re-sell a 'used' product for the original price.

Try the Asus Zenbook UX305CA. Its always in the top 10 of ultra portables and can be had around for similar money.

good find op. however why are they only using the "U" series processors

Most thin and light laptops use the U processors because they use a lot less power even the £1500 surface book uses a U processor.
It's not a bad thing just not as powerful but in return gives great battery life

I think you'd struggle to find anything more than a intel dual core at this price

Ultra Low Voltage. Good for battery life. For this class of laptop, battery life is more important than having a high powered CPU/GPU as it's not intended as a gaming computer. Don't forget that battery life for all laptops degrade over time. The battery life might provide 10 hours charge at the start of it's life but after 2-3 years of daily use, you might only be seeing 6-7 hours due to battery wear. That would be significantly worse if you had say a 47W TDP CPU in this.

How much slower will this be compared to a normal i3/i5?

The only thing I did notice about AO was their return/refund policy............
" If you've used the product
We're happy for you to unpack the item and inspect it properly, however, if you've used or installed it, we will only make a partial refund to cover the loss in value of the product. Please note, this could be up to 50% of the price of the item."
Maybe it's just me but when I upgraded my laptop 6 weeks ago I was faced with so many great options that I just couldn't make a final decision without at least trying before buying.
