Citric acid is a cheap alternative as well, no smell like white vinegar and if you like sour sweets buy the food safe version :wink: I paid about £6 for 1kg (dilute with water so lasts years) and use it in kettles, coffee machine, bathroom etc.

Can't believe this price, usually over 3 quid. It's either this or Cillit Bang Black for deep seated limescale. Hopefully not a misprice.

White vinegar is great for limescale (we live in a very hard water area). The lemon scented stuff doesn't leave such a stench either.

this stuff is great for shower heads, around taps etc. brings them up like new. hot!
