Example:
Spend £35 on a weekly food shop and you get £1.75 back as a reward, and £0.35 to allocate to your community. Do this 3 times a month and you'll earn £5.25 reward back, and £1.05 to allocate back to your community. That's over £60 reward back to you a year. This of course can be higher if you also buy other services from Co-op

Does this include gas and electric supply from co-op?
Apart from some exclusions you can earn your 5% and 1% across our family of businesses.
You’ll earn straight away at:
Co-op Food: all Co-op own brand products
Co-op Funeralcare: when you pay for a funeral or buy a Co-op Funeral Plan
Co-op Legal Services: various fixed price legal products, including wills/lasting powers of attorney and fixed price family law products
We’ll be introducing rewards and benefits at:
Co-op Insurance: we’re working on introducing rewards on our home and car insurance but in the meantime we have member offers available from time to time
Co-op Electrical: offers on selected products and brands, from time to time

I am sure this depends on which Coop Society your local Coop belongs to. Our local one has not paid out in years, the small amount of dividend they pay out all goes to charity.

This scheme is not the dividend, but is a straight reward that will pay out regardless of profit. They will bring back the dividend as well,but they don't expect to make a profit for another year or two. As you say there are local coops that aren't part of this national scheme.

Just joined at my local. I never use my NUS discount as I want to save it for places that can afford it - co-op is local and gives to good causes and now I can get 5% guilt free. Hot from me! Earned 30p just buying bread, snacks and pasta sauce! (Only 70p more to go till break even :smiley: )
