Overclockers have a crazy deal at the moment. You can pick this one up for less than amd r9 480, and it is way faster. See specs:
Core: 1025MHz
Memory: 8192MB 6000MHz GDDR5
Stream Processors: 2560
DirectX 12 Support
AMD CrossFireX Ready
AMD Eyefinity
AMD Mantle
They have few others 390 with similar prices.

You can get the far superior Sapphire model for £208 delivered at Ebuyer, which isn't voltage locked like this Gigabyte edition and has a much better, much quieter cooler.
No, RX480 performs about the same at the moment and that's for the reference version which throttles.
(the Max setting is them setting the card to a higher fan)
Also, the latest drivers 16.7.2 push the 480 a slight bit ahead even at stock settings:
The RX480 uses a lot less power, is likely to improve more with newer drivers etc. Of course, currently there are no 8GB ones in stock at £200...

It beats 480 in every game. Have a look at the benchamrks online.

I have a Sapphire R390 Nitro OC edition, and have just bought another to crossfire for about this price. It's a really nice card.
If I was buying new though, I'd buy an RX480. It runs cooler, uses much less power, and as a newer architecture there are probably other advantages I haven't fully grasped. The performance difference really isn't enough to warrant getting the older card imo. Plus we should see reviews for custom RX480's soon and I wouldn't be surprised if they close the gap.

Was about to ask, what's the power usage on this thing, and yeah I bet it generates some serious heat.

FYI to purchasers, from few threads on HUK plus other forums the Gigabyte cards come voltage locked.

You replied and included graphs - I love you dude!
Waiting for BF1 before card upgrade, sadly I only play 2 games on my PC so don't want to go for a 1070 as its 400 quids.
