Sony aren't everyone's cup of tea but I have a z3 and I really like it - so much that I don't feel the need to upgrade. If I was feeling the need, I may go for this...

pls do NOT... i got it from from o2 fresh for £183.99 last Wednesday, and will send it back tomorrow. The well documented overheating issue is so terrible, if you browse the website for over half an hour, you cannot even touch the back of the phone. Stick with you Z3 or get yourself an improved Z5 with a dual heatsink to combat the problem. Z3+ is a terrible phone unless you want to use your phone to boil an egg.

The snapdragon 810 strikes again, the chip overheats. I had a rant on the ZTE thread about this very chip, avoid the chip like the plague unless it's the 2.1 version, even then wouldn't trust it.

Yes. Get a phone with an 810 to escape overheating issues.

I'm returning my Z5 to EE tomorrow due to overheating - the problem really doesn't seem to have been fixed unfortunately

I've had iPhone after iPhone.
Went for a change last year and wish I'd done it years ago.
Never had an issue with this phone.
you can do so much more and it's waterproof and has a 20mp camera!!
ticks all the boxes for me folks!

z3+ has the toasty hot 810 so z3 might still be better.
and z3+ is £184 on the o2 refresh deal mentioned above...
I have the same rear camera in my Meizu MX4 Pro and it's very impressive indeed. Mind you, that can be picked up for as little as 107 quid at the moment....

Good point ...
But the Sony 'Z' range Phones are allllllll waterproof to 3 Meters, etc?.
Is the Phone you referenced waterproof too?, or .... I'm interested in a half decent Phone as well (that hopefully happens to be waterproof too, etc, etc?), thanx.
Can't be arsed again with Phones screwing up plenty when small bits of water from rain falls upon them, &/or when they fall into the bath, etc?, lol.

Where is it £107?

No, the Meizu isn't waterproof but TBH it really isn't a feature that would top my list (I've never ever had water damage occur on any of the many mobiles I've owned). Things like a QHD+ screen, real HiFi DAC, and incredibly useful, advanced function fingerprint scanner come way higher for me. Not to mention a crazily cheap asking price, of course :man: But each person's requirements are different, I guess.

That's more like a downgrade rather than upgrade. That model should've been called Z3-
