This is possibly the cheapest I've seen for a Z97 board. Cheaper than a H97 board. I umm and ahhhed a few weeks back when it was above £50 and thought I missed out. At this price I've finally bit.
It's closer to £70 on Amazon but I'm sure they may price match soon. However buying it from ebuyer you can go through Quidco/TCB. My cashback through Quidco tracked straight away.

Would this fit in an NZXT s340 case?
Would it work with an i5 3470 CPU and a R9 285 GPU?

@ck12111 you need a Z77 board or B85 board which suit 2nd or 3rd generation processors. Yours is 3rd generation. You will only get these 2nd hand

I have this mobo along with an i5 4670K @4.4GHZ. Cheap and cheerful with no frills, no SLI support only Crossfire. Would recommend though if building on a budget.

Nope, you would need to upgrade both the mobo AND the CPU.
Probably not worth it - better to upgrade the GPU if you're mostly after games performance.
