This may be useful to someone.
Passively cooled Mini ITX motherboard Celeron J1800 (Integrated), mITX, DDR3 (max 16GB), 1 x USB3, 4 x USB2, 2 x SATA2, DSub, DVI-D, HDMI
But, if you don't need to to run Windows then you may be better with a raspberry pi.

*Sigh* It's a Mini-ITX board with a built in dual core Celeron clocked quite reasonable for £26, supports DDR3 1333MHz and PCI-E, and you think it's cold, why?

You could put it in a case like this:-

It's the way you worded it, first saying it's a poor cpu, then no good for a media pc, without any explanation or examples. You got a backlash because it's not very helpful.

...but it's still not a reason to vote cold. It's a deal and thus hot. Obviously doesn't suit to your needs but it's still adequate as a small PC for browsing and such.

tempted to buy this and throw it in an old PC i have lying around in order to give to my grandparents in the future. Anyone used this CPU for normal browsing etc?

like all mini itxs', i struggle to find a decent cheap case to justify any cheap m-itx that i find.

Because its not worth the hassle when you quickly realise it's not powerful enough to be useful as an HTPC, and mini itx builds are not the easiest to disassemble and change out parts. I'd recommend a decent motherboard for not much more that will last longer and allow a much better CPU to be fitted.

Nothing to do with my needs as I don't need one. Its not much of a deal when you think about practically. Might be ok for browsing but that's it. I wouldn't get too upset, you're not even the OP.
Sorry but i don't believe this ranking at all, lots of this scores haven't been updated in years. You have on one list results from 2009 and results from 2015, the problem is that they come from different version of benchmark. for example my old laptop with t9600 with ssd inside don't feel as snappy as brand new laptop equipped with i3-6100U.

Yes, that's because the i3 is faster so it's normal for your old laptop to not feel as snappy, and the benchmarks on that site clearly show this:
