Heat added, can someone recommended a small torch which can fit in the hand say about 5 inches long. Preferably one woth a rechargeable battery. Thanks!

I'd go with the Thorfire C8S ... Excellent Torch .
If you fancy a really small torch, the Blackwater Kite is astonishing. It's tiny, USB rechargeable, and puts out (what I'd say was a genuine) 140 lumens. The basic model is well-finished aluminium. For rather more money you can get it in stainless steel or even titanium.

I have an handful of the torch sharkmark linked to that I've bought from places like gearbest, banggood and ebay. For less than £2 each they're great value, take a single AA so convenient and focus from flood to spot in the same way as this Lenser.
If spending this sort of money try and get a Thrunite TN12.

Are you going to post pointless comments on every deal?
If you clicked through to the Amazon deal it would tell you that the deal was for a set of RAM.
As for here, if you've never compared a LED Lenser to a cheapy torch, I would suggest you test what this £26 torch, demands its price for.

These work - much brighter and lasts longer than your ordinary Maglite.

No everyone isn't mad. Some of us were born before everything became disposable after a few uses.
These are solid torches that should last years. That's why we pay more.

I've not got one of these torches, but I did spend £50 on an LED Lenser head torch and it is definitely worth it. They really are bright which is what you want from a torch.

Fantastic torch, have two from Black Friday deals at a slightly higher price.
Light output and build quality are superb, if you're looking for a proper torch, this price is a no brainer.

apart from it using AAA batteries and having unregulated output. I.e. it starts off bright and gets dimmer. regulated lights maintain set brightness levels.
personally, I'd steer clear and get something like a Nitecore MT2A. IMHO.
Brilliant torch used mine daily and chucked it on the floor regularly for the last two years. Still works like the day I bought it. Pretty light on batteries too.
Great kit, great price.
Cue some fruit loop saying their m7 was better value, when they bought it before Christmas.
Opening post
Lowest ever price on Amazon I think.

Or the Astrolux S1 is about £22.
