We've blagged Sky newbies (or those who left it 12+ months ago) this cracking deal on a 12mth contract via this special Sky line rent & broadband* link.
The offer goes live at 10am on Fri 19 Jun – from then, you'll get a code you can use immediately, but you can grab a code via the link now and Sky will alert you when it goes live, with a link to claim the offer. Codes can be redeemed any time before 11.59pm on Thu 25 Jun.
- A £100 credit we've blagged is applied automatically on your first bill. As this happens before you're asked for any payment, assuming you don't incur any call or other charges, the credit covers all payments for most of the first year - so you won't owe anything till a £5.35 balancing payment in the final month.

I've no land line (Well I have a VM land line), I wonder would the £20 cover the cost of reinstating the BT line....

Yes. I got the same offer and didn't have a working line. Engineer came out and put a new line in as the old cable was damaged... Only cost £20... Couldn't believe it....

It did for me a few years back. BT wanted £120 to turn the line back on, sky did it for 20.

Great deal I'm with plusnet currently would I have to pay them anything if I leave? I'm not sure if I am still contracted with them as I've been using them for several years.

Probably not, BUT surely the best thing to do is phone plusnet and check rather ask a bunch of internet randoms about your account?
Plusnet may even try to match and save you the hassle of moving.

most broadband and phone companies only have 12 and 18 month contracts and rarely 24. if by definition of 'years' your talking more than 3. you only have to give them notice your terminating and the current month your in you will still be charged.

If you are with PlusNet I would call them up and ask to match the deal or something - switched to Sky for the £100 M&S Voucher and Quidco cashback - worst choice ever - been with PlusNet for 2.5 years - no faults, no slowdowns - just steady speed that I could get at home - 5Mbps. Switched to Sky - first fault within a week. Then couple of months later a series of faults one after another - they fixed it once, then week after same thing.
Luckily there was a price increase so I could leave without incurring charges so I am back with PlusNet again and happy.
Might not be applicable in all areas but where I live I had Virgin (through landline), PlusNet and Sky....out of those 3 only PlusNet was reliable.

If you've been with PN for a number of years you should be able to haggle with them.
I asked them to match the newcomers deal which they agreed to in their retention department and managed to get free unlimited broadband, £75 cashback and paid for the line rental upfront £159.
