So with PS4 software update 3.50 you can now remote play your PS4 on your PC/Mac. Update your PS4 software then head to this link on your computer to download the software. Useful for me as I travel a lot and always have my laptop.

Geez, for a 33/34 year old, you're so hostile! I never started with the insults. You just have, shocking really. You really have become a keyboard-warrior!

Thanks a lot for posting this, I would've had no idea about it. Tested it out on my Macbook for an online Fifa match (pretty laggy - on 720p and high framerate), Sleeping Dogs (perfect) and Driveclub (also perfect, offline).
Informed my girlfriend that I'll now be able to play GTA in bed and she was quite clearly thrilled...

Probably just a small update to allow remote play on the new firmware. I tested the PS4 3.50 beta firmware and the remote play wouldnt work for Vita/PSTV or Android phones, most likely due to the changes required for the PC/Mac streaming. Sadly the Vita/PSTV is pretty much dead, I'd love to see some improvements to the GUI.
I'm looking forward to testing the PC remote play and see what the latency/lag is like.
Is a nicer link. (Won't scare people then, that may think the link you gave is dodge!)

I'm a bit lost on this, why is streaming to play on your pc a good thing? only thing I can think of is to record for livestreaming, but ps4 already has that built in

It's a nice feature though it is a little disappointing that the maximum resolution is limited to 720P. I could understand that limitation for streaming over the internet but a good home network over Ethernet, or even powerline should have no problem at all with 1080P. Hopefully something Sony will add though as Sony are getting a track record for launching things then immediately dropping support for them I wouldn't hold my breath. Still having a 60fps option for smooth motion is a nice touch....

The 720P is a limitation of the specific encoder chip built into the PS4. On the PS3 the remote play ate into the available power for the game itself so it was poorly supported. On PS4 there is a totally separate chip so there is zero impact on games when you use remote play, but also means you are limited to what the chip itself can handle.

I know where you got the link from. What I'm saying is, some random link to playstation.net might put some people off, since nearly everything else sits on playstation.com.
I wasn't trying to be a smartarse! So no need to become a keyboard-warrior!

Fine, smartarse, the difference being you posted a link for a general overview for 3.5 I posted THE link to the software that I was making people aware of. You tried to undermine the reliability of the link I posted when there was no need, call me what you will I care not, this software is useful, the link OS GENUINE not "dodge" like you implied.

In fact your comment alone is probably enough to put people off now.
