Doing it that way kills the debate of "Indirect access numbers" and service providers don't have any means to find this out because your are not typing any international number after dialing the 0870 number. Majority of the folks don't get this in the beginning and assume it's just a scam or something. But when they use it and start saving cash on buying Lyca, Lebara etc credit then they realise how good it is and appreciate it.

Trust me, you won't regret it. Just make sure you have free calls to 0870 numbers inclusive in your tariff.
You can also get Virgin mobile £12 sim only contract (can cancel anytime by giving them 30 days notice) and you can make unlimited international calls. But they (MakeFreeCalls) do advise not to call more than 100 minutes per day.

If you call a lot then you can add unlimited anytime 0870 calls to your existing package for £2 extra per month. Check your online account in the upgrade section. By the way, you can use this service to call UK mobiles as well. So for £2 extra per month you can take advantage of both.

I have just signed up with Plusnet & this is what they tell me about anytime package;
"Non-geographical numbers (0845 & 0870) Inclusive at all times
(Calling cards, indirect access and dial-up Internet numbers are excluded)"
So I guess this exclusion means it won't be available to me despite having the free 0870 package?
