Cook the perfect steak (or perfect anything) with Sous Vide method. This was approx £130 on Instant Pot website, I set an alert for £90 on camelcamelcamel and it hit £69.95! Not got an Instant Pot? I dont see any problem attaching to a large container Bargain ps its as quiet as a mouse from the youtube videos I've watched, unlike other Sous Vide attachments

How on earth did people manage before these things were invented? :unamused:

Doesn't see so cheap though.
I bought the Anova, with wifi and bluetooth, for £75 last week. Seems a much better device.
So tempted...already use the Instant Pot all the time.

There was a deal on official website. I bought mine for 74 pounds last week as well. To be fair, it is just a stock clear out before they release the new gen 3
This one will do much more if you are cooking for the family.
They both have loose fitting but secure lids that I am going to cut to allow the Anova to fit snuglty through them to minimise water loss through evaporation. I left the smaller one full of water and increased the temperature a few degrees at a time until it reached 90 degrees C and I left it at that for 15 minutes. The plastic did not melt but it did soften and bulge very slightly due to the weight of the volume of water and it was obviously hot to the touch so needs to be somewhere no one would accidentally touch it or knock it over. I just need to find something to use as racking when using he larger one to allow free movement around each sealed bag.
Currently at £1.50 and £2.00 they are much better value than anything I have seen especially made for doing sous vide with the wand type cookers.

I use Rubbermaid. Yes more expensive but superb quality and probably more cost effective in the long run. Really thick and robust and a lid that secures fully and easily.

This looks to be perfect for cooking one or two steaks or similar quantity of food.
