Nearly as expensive as Galaxy S8 and doesn't come with valid warranty. Is not a standard model. Will not have same support as Samsung. Will not have resale value. So extremely cold.

Look on eBay for the original mix and you'll be surprised at how well they keep their value

I am saying this as I know. Look at Samsung Galaxy S7 edge still selling at £350. What phone do you use yourself? Are you gonna buy this? Stop luring other people in to something that doesn't even have warranty.

Have u ever actually used a mobile phone warranty?? Iv had atleast 10 phones and never used it once. That's what insurance is for.

I have, three times. Sony warranty for the 'self-cracking screen' feature on the Z3, an LG G4 for being all over the shop with its battery and my Samsung S6 Edge for putting lovely big stripes across the screen. Actually, now I think about it, that's my last three phones. Personally, I wouldn't be without a warranty now. Insurance is one thing, but there's excesses, no claims, all that nonsense to deal with. But as they say, you pays your money and you takes your choice.

?? I've been watching the mix1 over the last few weeks as I am in the market for a new phone. They keep their value very well on eBay, else I would have bought one. They're a massive brand and highly regarded. Personally went for the OnePlus5 from BG but only due to price.

You have followed just one phone and I follow the market mate. Samsung Galaxy S6 edge bought for £ 230 refurb in Feb 2016 and sold it for £ 260 two weeks ago.

Well done. Do you want a gold star? I've been watching numerous Xiaomi phones on eBay and all holding value but this thread is about the Mix line. For info, the Mix1 is £350ish new on BG and selling for over £300+ on eBay second hand. But you stick to your Samsung

All what I said is nothing but facts. Are you telling me that you will ship a phone ( £ 400 +) back to China and they will repair and send it back to you. Mate, keep your fingers as well as legs crossed  If I can stop few people from spending a fortune for something which dont even have a valid warranty, it's a Gold Star for me mate

Warranty I'll give you, but everything else is crap.

Does it not have a valid warranty or is it just that you'd have to ship it back to China to make a claim? Obviously that wouldn't make sense for a £100 Chinese phone but maybe it would for something of this value?

You're asking the wrong person. His comment is based on opinion and not facts. Although, it does have a warranty but you'd need to send it back to China.

In my defence, I did say I'd give you your point about the warranty but, although it obviously wouldn't be as easy to claim from as your precious Samsung warranty, Yes, that is what I'm telling you. I probably couldn't be bothered though, I'd get it repaired in town. The re-sale value will be good, as is the re-sale value of most xiaomi phones. Of course it's a standard phone, although, admittedly not to the UK. And by support, do you mean software updates? If so, xiaomi are among the best. Can you explain why my xiaomi Mi5 got updated to Android 7 about 3 months before my wife's galaxy s6? The fact is, you're a Samsung fan who doesn't really know what you're talking about. Oh, and I'm not your mate.

Looks a bargain compared to the iPhone x
Will probably get hit with customs though.

Nearly everything looks like a bargain compared with the new iPhone, but that certainly does not make it a bargain! Once VAT is added this will be a very expensive cell phone.

sam_of_london, are you feeling okay? This is your 3rd Chinese phone deal (from a Chinese seller) in 2 days despite having repeatedly criticised these deals in the past saying things like; sellers are Chinese hackers who install viruses, hassle of waiting 2-3 weeks, they have no UK warranty, are subject to additional charges etc. You've even suggested that people promoting Chinese phone deals are actually Chinese citizens or employees who aren't in the UK. This is £400+ and another you posted is £300+ but no mention of VAT+customs yet you'll comment on a deal below £200 saying don't forget to add those charges.

I vote negative for phones without B20 and with spyware hidden in official stock ROM . This phone has B20 and no spyware.

Ludicrous to suggest paying over £400 for a phone direct from China! Great specs are fine, but how many supposed "great phones" be been pretty down by reliability issues? These haven't been around long enough to suss that. Great phone if you're somewhere where you can buy actually have the option of usable warranty, but for a direct import at this price PLUS import duties it's Cold from me.
