I've used a hydro 3 and a hydro 5 at the same time. I don't know if the 5 clogs up faster but it definitely shaves better in my experience, The fact that the lubricating strip can be moved out of the way on the 5 is also an improvement over the 3.

i was in asda earlier they have the quatro for a similar price, if you're going shopping.
12 blades and a razor £17.50 if you go for the 2 promotion which costs £35 for £35 you get 26 blades equals £1.34p per blade 15p per blade cheaper but you have to spend more it would be equal to paying £13 for Wilkinson sword hydro 5 - 9 blades was 23.10 NOW 14.99

It is better, in terms of being cheaper. I think its unpopularity is due to the up-front cost being much higher.

Tesco site have a 4 pack for £6.66 at the moment. A little more expensive, but far less initial outlay Not sure if it's available instore
