Just ordered this for my sister who will be going back to Uni in September. Not sure how strict the validation on the student email address is - it seems to accept anything.
More data than I could find anywhere else for the price, hopefully it helps someone out.

Got cashback from 3 from TopCashBack with no trouble took a while but got it in the end. If you expect to get it straight away you won't on anything you have to wait at least 2 months to get it.

Just buy cheapest payg 3 card and you can sign to 30GB £16 contract as an additional line...

PAYG doesn't count!

I just got a 12GB advanced plan for £12 by taking it as a second line with a PAYG sim. So it probably does work.

It did. Choose plan, enter payg number and £2 off a month
I moved to Three a year ago and have had awful reception at home and on my travels (plus causing battery drain). Now a move back to O2 or Vodafone is on the cards.

Do you have wifi calling?
CampGareth to neversay

That happens with any mobile network because there about a billion variables involved in how strong your phone signal is. Unfortunately that makes anecdotal evidence pretty useless.

Well if you are in a low signal area for any mobile network your phone will ramp up the power to connect. This is why your battery is draining faster.
As someone else has mentioned already, did you switch on wifi calling on your phone? Three supports this and would cure your problem if you have wifi at home.

Maybe they have a ist of approved & accredited list of educational establishments, not some wishy-washy online non-accredited ones. You know what I mean.

No, I don't know what you mean. I go to a real university.

Can you post your My3 showing this so other people can ask them to match it?

I was also offered this when I tried to cancel, but fancied a different sim only contract with 30gb tethering.

I moved to 3 from talktalk (vodafone), got a good deal but 3s signal coverage is awful, no signal in places I had H+ with talktalk. Will be moving asap.

Did you check area coverage before moving to Three? I get great signal in my area fine
seaniboy to kyeung
8 Sep 17#34
People make assumptions, it's terrible all the networks own shops won't give a free payg sim out unless you top up... how are you meant to test coverage to then contract yourself to them ? If you need to move asap then waiting on a free sim from a website/phone order is a joke...

That's why they have cooling off periods...

Cooling off periods for handsets more like, which is no bad thing with the 'beta' standard of software on phones these days
