Seems to be very close in performance to the GTX 1060 3gb. The latter just beats it though, but is around the £180 mark at the moment. Have some heat

A lot of 'experts' seem to disagree ... eg the Benchmarking king himself

Isn't this for minng? (D branding) Anyhow, hot deal.

I can't see any reference to a D number, eg 570D. The 560D is a rebadged 460. But I can't see any evidence of any difference on this 570. The Amazon page says The specs look correct.
SAPPHIRE Radeon RX 570 PULSE ITX 4 GB GDDR5 DP/HDMI/DVI-D Graphics Card DVI-D means it has one Digital only DVI connection and not a DVI/VGA connection like older cards have.

Similar price to 1050ti but assume this is much better?

I'd pay £20 more for a 1060, faster and hell of a lot more efficient for gaming.

Good to know. I'm waiting for the 1060 6gb version to stabilise at around £225 (preferably less!) for my new build.

How long are you willing to wait? 3 months, or longer? RAM prices are still on the up, so it may take longer than expected, as it is impacting the manufacturers of these cards as much as the end user. You might be lucky and catch an offer on one, but I'd set up an alert since it looks like the new normal is going to be slightly higher than it was before.

I'm in no rush and could easily wait another 2 years before building my ideal PC. I'm actually toying with the idea of a Nintendo Switch in the meantime. In comparison it looks FUN, not drop-everything-and-play-for-a-month-intense gaming you get with most games these days.

Pends what your current build is. I just upgraded from a core2duo to a Ryzen 1600. Massive improvement after 10 years. Snatched a 1060 6gb card for £230 after postage. Got a bit lucky on that front after spotting a deal on here. I tried the waiting game for 2+ years. At some point you just have to set a date and build it. I recycled HD, SSD and dvdrw drive. You might even be able to reuse case and power supply pending on it's age and if it's not a OEM build like Dell.
I think bitcoin mining is here to stay. Prices may go up and down but they would have to crash hugely for the craze to stop. $200 for bitcoin currency is likely still profitable for many. Some may have already paid off their rig costs. It will take the market months if not years to recover from the current stock shortages. The manufacturers are not increasing production. So supply issues could last for months if not years. The RX 580 would be much better for 1080p gaming.

I would like to buy everything around black Friday. Similar to you, I can recycle my old PSU and HDD, but want to upgrade to a 240gb ssd for the OS and programs. I really want to stay below the £600 mark including £230 for the gtx 1060 6gb.

Oh I couldn't recycle my case or PSU. I had bought an SSD a few years back on black Friday. I was able to upgrade Windows 7 for free. Just pick the savings where the performance isn't. Graphics, CPU and ram are the big costs here. 8gb vs 16gb can save loads! RX580 vs RX570 too another £50. Ryzen 1600 vs Ryzen 1200 another £100. Choices! Or wait? You can always buy parts now if you find them cheap on here.

That's the plan, to keep looking out for good deals on various parts on here. I've got my mind set on Intel over Amd, for overall performance. Im starting off with the G4560, which i know is limiting but id rather invest more in the gpu than cpu for now. Only 8gb of ram in a good value Mobo for around £50 that supports 32gb ram (bonus if it supports 64gb). I've used PC part picker and have got a list ready, but want to buy as many of the parts as I can at the same time at best price (most likely Black Friday).

I used UK part picker too to get an idea on products and users views. Great for finding good prices too. Only issue with G4560 is it's not quad core but has 4 threads. Great budget CPU though. Intel's 8th edition CPU is coming out in October? Do not expect any giveaway price wise. The i3 will be quad core. For your budget maybe Kabylake Intel is way to go. Of course you won't be able to swap in a 6 core CPU in a few years time. Intel are moving to a new socket AGAIN!

Well, did you watch your video?
Because his conclusion was: The 1060 3gb and the 570 were nearly identical at 1080p, with the 1060 3gb coming out 2% ahead.
He has the exact conclusion that you were disagreeing with.
Maybe there is something lost in the discussion?

Sorry, mixed users up,
This guy's video shows the 1060 3gb is 2% faster than the 570... But the impression he seems to make is that this video disagrees with, but I don't know which way. *shrug*
In a number of games it's close to an aftermarket GTX1060 6GB.

Really good deal. Not really the model I'd want though (the 2 fan models would be quieter and able to sustain a higher oc). Very tempted to order to hedge my bets with the rx580 8gb already on order.
