Were these coming up around the £100 mark recently or was that for a lower spec ? Looking to spend around the £100 mark , don't mind if its a few quid over though. Fine with a 3gb / 32gb version too

That was the lower spec, the 4gb has been sliglty cheaper.

Previous cheaper deal was only for the gold. On this deal you can get black for the same price - HOT
This is the one I am looking at , slightly lower spec but can anyone tell me of this supports 4g through ee network ? Sorry if this is a dumb question , I've been following these posts for a Xiaomi Redmi note 4 and the topic was brought up a fair bit , also does this have OTA updates ? Thanks in advance guys

The Redmi Note 4X is basically the China market counterpart to the RN4 Global Version. That 3/16GB variant is exclusive to China. The lower model of RN4 Global Version is 3/32GB.
RN4X = Chinese packaging, U.S charger, no B20, Global ROM installed by Banggood (unsealed) RN4 Global Version = English packaging, E.U charger, has B20, Global ROM factory pre-installed (sealed)
The Note 4X will still work on EE without B20 and Banggood mentions OTA updates in the description, which implies official ROM. The current prices for RN4 Global Version 3/32GB are higher than normal, although they've been around £100-110 or lower in the past. I'd suggest waiting and getting one of those instead.

Another thought - this phone is PRE-ORDER (Sept 30th). Maybe should be in title
So for just over £20 extra, this one or the Pre-order Xiaomi Mi A1 @ £157.81????

I'm torn between the two. The A1 has stock android and a couple of technical tweaks, but likely worse battery life. I'm going to wait some more.

I would suggestion not to buy from banggood, as now the customs are charging amount getting from banggood. banggood would say they are not respossible for the taxes or customs amount. Also the customer service is not at all good and they not even bother to respond for the issues

I really want to buy this and have been waiting for such a low price. However, the Redmi Note 5 is just a few weeks away, and will come with a slightly better spec, but more importantly a better camera. I think I might have to wait it out! Heat anyway though, great deal.

Is that not going to be more expensive though or is it more likely the note 4 will become even cheaper once the note 5 is out ?

For sure it will be more expensive - I'm guessing closer to £180, but you never know, they could surprise us. The Note 4 will probably go down a little bit in price, but if you really want the Note 4, I'd say go for it now!

Ive been using the camera on mine and theres no problem with it.. Quality is spot on.. All I did was change the camera settings and now its perfect..

Yeah I heard that downloading a certain camera app and changing a couple of settings sorts it out. But it is rumoured that the Redmi Note 5 has a dual camera on the back, which should surely be a decent improvement.

What do you have to do, I took it out to take photos in low light of an artist singing and this is extremely poor. The focussing is shite. Am I expecting too much from a Chinese 137 phone or can a particular camera app help me please

I read a few comments online from people saying that the Open Camera app improves the quality of photos on these phones a fair bit.

Recent leaks/rumours suggest it will have a Mediatek Helio P25 which has around the same Antutu score as the SD625 but many people would consider Mediatek in general to be inferior to Snapdragon. However, there's always speculation for next version of Xiaomi phones and RN5 has been discussed/expected for a long time<. If the recent Helio P25 leaks are true, it might follow the same release pattern of the Redmi Note 3 & 4 which were both originally released as Mediatek, then as an updated Snapdragon variant at a later date (which then got a B20 version after this). It could be a quite a while before the direct successor to this particular RN4 variant is released. Previous release dates were RN3 MTK - Nov 2015, RN3 SD - Feb 2016, RN4 MTK - Aug 2016, RN4 SD - Jan 2017 so RN5 being a few weeks away sounds plausible but there has been no solid info from reliable sources so it's still anyone's guess. For now, the release date is just expectation/prediction and the specs are speculation.

My comment was just my own assumptions due to previous trends but they might not follow it. The RN3 MTK was released like 3 or 4 months after RN2 and used the same processor which I doubt people would have predicted. Also the RN4 SD uses a weaker processor to the RN3 SD, despite being speculated beforehand to come with SD660, so speculation/expectations don't always hold true. Have to wait and see
