Well it is now official - avoid banggood at all costs!

So why you ask? Accepted order with 1 week dispatch time, failed to notify me when that slipped & instead went on nearly a 1 week holiday. When I chased them give a vague 1-2 week additional delay estimate (several days later when they bothered to answer), then admit that they don't know when they will get the item. Top that off by cancelling the order against the customer's express wishes giving no reason.

Add to this the weight of evidence that they are being hit by customs regularly - perhaps they messed around someone who works in customs or another customer whom they messed around has reported them to customs!

All in all terrible service & with customs likely, not even cheap.

banggood if you read this you seriously need to look at you customer services! The only one i would have any time for is poor Bob on the forum - I stayed a customer this long (3 orders delayed badly without notice) due to his helpful manner, despite being overworked.

They are wanting to cancel my order - not impressed & have told them so! How can they get away with this?

With 3 out of 4 mobile orders being big let down (and frankly I can't remember the one that wasn't, so it is benefit of the doubt rather than certain), I'm firmly in the avoid BG camp. Add to that the customs rumours & you'd be mad to use them.

I really want to buy this and have been waiting for such a low price. However, the Redmi Note 5 is just a few weeks away, and will come with a slightly better spec, but more importantly a better camera. I think I might have to wait it out! Heat anyway though, great deal.

So I'm impressed with the x265 aspect of this phone using Mx player I got it playing films smoothly but want them on a TV. Have tried my Chromecast but its the first one and it wasn't a pleasant experience to say the least . As their is quite a difference between the ram of the Chromecast and the note 4. Can you local cast with an Amazon fire stick or do you need a miracast tv. As this has double the ram

Fingers crossed we'll see them drop in price on aliexpress soon.

just been told stock isn't expected for another 2-3 weeks before it's even dispatched, I thought I'd placed the order while it was in stock so that along with possible customs fees I'm going to cancel order :cry:

Note that many on here are seeing customs fees for products bought via Banggood now.

Bit the bullet ...... £131.47 paying by Halifax Clarity Credit Card (section 75 protection included) less possible £7.93 from TCB so should work out to £123.54 all in.

Now to order case / tempered glass screen protector . Anyone have any recommendations ? I heard you need to get a full screen protector complete with the coloured bits on them to avoid ghosting issues around the edges , can anyone confirm ?

I would suggestion not to buy from banggood, as now the customs are charging amount getting from banggood. banggood would say they are not respossible for the taxes or customs amount.
Also the customer service is not at all good and they not even bother to respond for the issues

anyone got a code for the black 32gb version that is in stock atm? it's on for about £129 but seen some codes over the last few days bringing them down closer to £100, where do these codes come from and how do members find them when posting deals?

waiting for the 32g to come back in stock, got one for £105(not del yet) and ordered an other form Gearbest only for them to refund me as oos, now they are awaiting arrival, just depends if they are on sale again

may take a plunge on the 64gb if no other deals arrive

Have this phone for few months since May. Absolutely best value phone, the best part of it is the SD625 CPU. It is very efficient in term of battery usage and performance is lag free (although not blazingly fast compare to high-end phone).
The battery is seldom dropped below 60% after a day usage. And so far it never get hot no matter how hard you push its limit. So for average person not chasing the top tier smartphone, I would say this is the best mid-range smartphone for 2017.
