Overwatch free to play from the 22nd to the 25th September.
Got this game about 3 weeks ago and think it's great! Definitely worth a try!

Had it for almost a year now, one of the best games I've ever played
Unlike Destiny, COD, Battlefield etc. every single update is free and they frequently balance the game's mechanics every 3-4 weeks so you never feel cheated by players doing annoying stuff.
It launched at about the same time as Battlefield 1. B1 has had 1 paid DLC update since then.
Overwatched has introduced 4 new character types, close to 15 new maps, over 5 new game modes and had close to 10 seasonal events which have exclusive play modes and one off unlockables.
Plus it cost me £25 then and it's the same price or less now

2 actually but yeah, it's a poor show...
It's probably my ailing reaction times but I still prefer Battlefield to these 12-men-in-a-box games. I got Titanfall 2 but regardless of the result, the default game modes become tedious very quickly. I do like the co-op PvE mode though - perhaps I should bend over to pick up Activision's Destiny 2 soap :stuck_out_tongue:
Heat for the heads up - it was a previous F2P weekend that helped me decide that this game wasn't for me

I don't like shooters much.
I really enjoy Overwatch.
It really is the game for people who don't gel with the insta-headshot reflex world of COD and the like. Yeah, I quite like a bit of those characters every now and again, but in my session this morning I played two different kinds of healers, two different tanks, a builder / turret and a DPS - and enjoyed playing all of them. The sheer variety, easy to learn mechanics and balance makes it ideal for casuals and short bursts - but I've heard the meta-game isn't quite as strong.

Thanks, will give it a go. Seems like a good game. I'm a Battlefield player and other games haven't grabbed me like that has. I'm curious if this will. Sounds like a contender!
