For someone who doesn't care if it's an Xbox or PS, has never owned any of these before, and is not in a rush to get their hands on them, is it safe to assume that there will be better deals to be had for black Friday?

There will be used deals soon I expect, as the Xbox One X is out shortly, if you don't mind used. Plus more deals on the One S might come when the X is launched, but the X is going to be significantly more expense.

Better deals - yes most possibly but my guess is not by a lot. I would expect a similar package to the deal above to maybe sell for around £165 on Black Friday, so just a £25 saving. Is £25 worth you waiting nearly 2 months to buy the console? If yes, then do wait for Black Friday.

god yes.. if you remember back to last year ps4 with star wars lego was 150 pound . plus with the x coming the xbox s is just going to go down more. hold out!! it will be worth it i know it!!

If you loved halo but not played 5, maybe only get it when it's dirt cheap, or give it a miss if you're really into the lore / storey etc. It singlehandedly destroyed my love for the series and I'm a life long fan. Sadly I'm not the only one either. Just wanted to give you a heads up.
