Was just about to post the £190 one. Glad I got the Ronaldo Edition yesterday for an extra £9.99 though, but still a great deal.

I posted this but I'm actually holding out for a good deal on a Forza 7 bundle.

For someone who doesn't care if it's an Xbox or PS, has never owned any of these before, and is not in a rush to get their hands on them, is it safe to assume that there will be better deals to be had for black Friday?
Lonyo to MihirDaDude
29 Sep 17#9
There will be used deals soon I expect, as the Xbox One X is out shortly, if you don't mind used. Plus more deals on the One S might come when the X is launched, but the X is going to be significantly more expense.

If they have better deals on the S, it could hamper the X sales

Better deals - yes most possibly but my guess is not by a lot. I would expect a similar package to the deal above to maybe sell for around £165 on Black Friday, so just a £25 saving. Is £25 worth you waiting nearly 2 months to buy the console? If yes, then do wait for Black Friday.

If you loved halo but not played 5, maybe only get it when it's dirt cheap, or give it a miss if you're really into the lore / storey etc. It singlehandedly destroyed my love for the series and I'm a life long fan. Sadly I'm not the only one either. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

With all these deals they're almost giving away the actual XBOX ONE S Console...absolute bargain for those, like myself, looking for a cheap 4K Blu Ray player.

If FIFA is a disk then it can be traded in for £36 at CEX or £37 at Game.

Out of interest:
- Is the £60 premium for the 1TB unit worth it (or would you be better putting the cash towards an external drive).
- Is the £9ish worth it for the Xbox Live?
Cheers

External 1TB HDDs cost 40-50 quid. You can buy 12 months of Gold for 30 pounds, so not really.

New to Xbox... looking for one for my son for Xmas. Is internet connection an absolute must or can games be played without? Is it easy enough to download the forza game?

I think fair to say it is a must (CMIIW).There are times when the download of 320 gb happens every day on my console and it doesn't not even allow me to skip it and play my games

You'd need Internet to download games (even from disc) and update console. I've had mine for a year and not once gone online to actually play a game, I prefer to play with people in the same room. It depends how old he is, what games he'd be playing and if he's likely to want to play with friends when they're not in the same house

I've just got one and to install Forza 3 it took ages and had to be done online. I've now set the console to automatically sign my profile in when I turn the console on so I don't have to connect to the internet. Disc based games can be installed and played without having to be connected to the internet. I would suggest setting it up before Christmas Day. It was 3 days before I actually got to use it

Has anyone seen any good console trade-ins recently? I have the 500GB Xbox One and am thinking about Scorpio. I found £85 on some dodgy site but don't know if it can be trusted!

Think you'd struggle to make money on that unless sold outside of eBay. Unless fifa is special edition maybe.

People, I am in a quandary. Not had to buy consoles for years but currently looking after a lad who has asked for an Xbox for christmas. Any way this is a good deal all be it the Halo wouldn't get used, do you think there will still be good deals to be had come early December on One S etc?
I don't want to go buy one now and the lad not be here at Christmas.
