Lowest price I have ever seen this. This comes with the all important wand/pole that makes this so versatile.

A few of the reviews on amazon.co.uk/Dys…TF8 put me off, it sounds like the charge won't last long enough to vacuum much more than one room. At this price, perhaps better to go for a corded machine like the Shark HV320 or a good old Henry?!

Vast majority of people (myself included) find that in actual use it's plenty. 20 mins doesn't sound alot but as it is powered on only when the trigger is pressed, it effectively lasts longer than 20 mins as you don't obviously leave it running when moving between area/rooms. Honestly if you get one you won't regret it...especially at this price. Totally different (better!) experience than a corded vacuum. Hope that makes some sort of sense?

I like the idea of cordless, especially as I could charge it during the day with my solar panels and use it in the evening. I will read up on this model further tomorrow. The Shark has a 5-year guarantee and the Dyson only 2-years, so if the battery degrades after a couple of years it could work out poor value for money.

We've had our dc59 over 3 years, use it every day and battery is still same as new...hope it continues that way!

Do V6 attachments fit this by any chance?

As far as I know yes...essentially the same machine (just renamed)

No wall mount, if an issue for you.

It DOES include the wall mount/charger. All stick cordless ones do. A review on Tesco posted yesterday confirms that in a (slightly dodgy!) picture.

Say's in the listing no wall mount included so I would be cautious

Listing error then. All dyson stick cordless have wall mount and charger.

FYI Tesco are also doing the V6 model for a net £30 more (£189 less £25 code). It includes "Additional Information. What's in the Box, Combination tool and Crevice tool. Docking Station. Charger"
Anyone confirm whether the DC59 deal includes an extra tool or two?
It's brill, does the whole house with charge to spare
It has 2 tools which the cheaper does not? probably more powerful too?
or is the cheaper one as good?

The battery on mine died after two years. I called them, gave them the reference number of the VC and they sent a new one free of charge within 2 working days.

I thought they cover parts for 2 yrs only ..Err?

The machine comes with 2 year's and the battery only 1 year so the person above must have got lucky.

I bought this cleaner on Monday and picked it up yesterday. It did not come with a wall mount.
It did come with a crevice tool.

Are you sure you got the one with the wand/pole?? Tesco sell a similar one without the pole. Recent reviews on Tesco for the product posted here confirm it has wall mount (with picture evidence)
