People will moan about the 2560x1080 res, but I've tried a couple out at around that size and had a superb experience.

Yeah the 1080p aspect didn’t bother me, I only have a GTX1070, and utilising the 144hz is more realistic at that resolution, while still getting more real estate. For this price I was also looking at 1440p 60hz monitors, but for gaming I think the higher refresh will be nicer!
I’ll update when it’s here!

That is probabaly justified tho, I got a 27inch 1080p screen and it already appear blocky. Tried a 27 inch 1440p at my friends and it look way better. Sharp and clear
I am sure your grandpa remember black and white screen tv too. But i bet you will moan if your TV doesnt have colour. Your arguement is pointless

With that said, do let us know your thoughts once it arrives. I'm shopping for a monitor and this has me tempted.

I would totally get this if I could afford it. I was looking at the 29 inch ultra wide but I missed out on the deal earlier. Do any of you guys know it at a reasonable price anywhere?

I have the LG one with same specs but with IPS screen. People will say that the pixels are bigger than their house and all that jazz but for gaming I'm so freaking happy with it. I see no pixels and I'm pretty close to the MONITOR.

So...
2560 x 1080 is a horrific resolution Not particurly great pixel response time Not IPS
Still £400...
Asus XR34A can be had for <£500 if you look on Amazon warehouse every now and again and is an order of magnitude better.

You could get a 27" dell ultrasharp for that price which is infinitely better in every way apart from response time/frequency which MOST people don't even care about, I play all my games at 60hz and I never think it's bad as I'm looking at crystal clear deep colour screens.

Apart from response time, frequency, curved and ultrawide? Everybody values something different in a monitor.
I think most GPUs would struggle to play games 144Hz 2560x1080.

I see your point, I do however believe a good panel with great colour reproduction wows you a lot more than speed, but as you say that's my preference. Curved is a gimmick really!
