An Evening with Johnny Ball
Thursday 26 October, 6.30pm
Books, lower ground
We’re delighted to welcome Johnny Ball, by some margin Britain's most famous mathematician. Wonders Beyond Numbers is his first book over a decade. A celebration of his love for the subject, it ranges from ancient Egypt to the present day, from Russian sums in an English pub, circa 1946 to the ‘many tentacles’ of modern mathematics underpinning astronomy, computing, network theory, topology and much more. Join Johnny for a fun and fact-filled evening which will kindle – or re-kindle- your enthusiasm for this astonishing subject.
Tickets £6, (=£1.95) available from Customer Services, floor 2 or online.
Includes a glass of wine and £5 off the book when purchased on the evening.
Concessions tickets available for 14 - 16 year olds. Please contact Customer Services on 01603 660661

Spot on ,she fancies anything in pants .If you listen to her on radio 2 she is desparate for the old meat and 2 veg .She really is embarrassing.

The only UK radio station I listen to now is Radio 4, and even then I, pretty much, only listen to the Today program via the internet. I find all the other UK stations so dire that if I want to listen to music I look to internet only stations.
