Hot! That said, I half expect this to be a joke, and it'll be out of stock :joy:

It was in stock when I ordered one earlier

It was a discreet play on "404", suggesting that the stock would not be found :nerd:  but joking aside I'm glad there was stock

Who wants nits? I'm itching just thinking about it. Besides this has better resolution.

I would always go for an iPad....I don't think Android has worked as well on tablets!

Yeah fully agree here. It's a shame but you end up with a much lesser experience.

give the money you save buying this over an ipad to a charity and also enjoy a more flexible experience.. maybe apple users define lesser differently?

Isn't an iPad Air actually £70 cheaper than this?

My Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is fantastic, much prefer it to our iPad Pro.
Pretty much stopped using Apple devices at home.

Your choice! Reviews in the likes of "PC Pro" and other mags have often been lukewarm on - even high-end -Android tablets - while really liking the phones!

Android was never originally designed as a tablet OS, even less as a productivity OS. Even now, numerous apps don't scale particularly well and you'd be mad to use Android as a office productivity app when Windows is superior in that regard in terms of software. For phones though, it's fine.

In what way? My Nexus 10 tablet is still going strong - battery isn't what it used to be but not bad for a three year old device. It does everything I need and more, anything an ipad can do...

Wasn't the Nexus 10 abandoned by google a year or so ago?

I find it shocking that they aren't compelled to offer security updates OTA.

Yep - no more updates, but I still use it most days. When I don't use it I put it on airplane mode and battery saver - lasts a week without recharging.

That's one thing that is good about iPads. My aging iPad Air (released in 2013) is still supported & will get iOS 11 this November. Though whether it's capable of running it is another matter

I'm still using a Nexus 10 also. I've flashed the latest pure Nexus ROM on it from XDA-developers. So it's running Android V7.1.2 with the June security patch. Works a treat...... So I'm struggling to justify the outlay on a Pixel C or Lenovo tab 4 plus right now.

The battery has become a huge issue for me. Once it goes down to the 30% range it can immediately jump down to 0% and shut down any moment.
My brother has an iPad Air 2 and that's a much smoother experience, granted it's a newer device.

The battery was pretty easy to replace on my N10 with the right simple opener tool package. Plenty instructional vids on YouTube. I did mine in about 20 mins and it's back to full performance now. About £40 on Amazon, £5 for the tools

I have owned mine since March 2016, Best Tablet I have ever owned and still the best there is today. I paid 300 new from the Google store, as there was a developer discount for a short period. At the time I sold my Nexus 9 for 200 and got the Pixel. Also for new or old owners, the keyboard is discounted: store.google.com/pro…ard
