This is a lease/PCH deal for an electric car, so it's a niche of a niche in terms of who it will appeal to.
The Acenta one step above the very basic model of the Leaf (Visia) so make sure you're happy to live with it for 2 years.
Standard 24Kw battery with standard charger (3.3kwh I think)
So there you have it, your reasons to vote cold (in addition to you don't own it yada yada yada).

This seems a pretty standard price now the higher kw batteries are available.

Really, that's good if that is the case. Financially puts it in the reach of many people. Warranty on battery is 60k miles too I've driven a Leaf and a Soul EV on long journeys and I was very impressed. I think if you regularly do less than 100 miles/day (each way if you have access to charging at destination) then an EV is a must. Must be a large proportion of drivers that do less than 100 miles/day

The new 30Kw battery should do about 120 miles on a charge. I've see. Deals on top of the range Tekna with Bose sound system, leather etc... for £210 deposit and £210 a month.
I think some point over the next month a deal will pop up for £200.

do you have a link, or the name of the dealer?

This was a deal that Arbury Nissan were doing in July. A salesman in Bromsgrove has been keeping me updated with all their offers as my Zoe is due to go back next month and I refuse to pay the silly prices they want for a new one. This offer isn't currently available, however depending on how each groups quarterly figures are doing, depends on what deals they will put out. I was holding out for a £200 a month offer.

The new model which is going to be announced next month is rumoured to have a 40KW battery and Range around 160 miles - ish. thedrive.com/she…ked

The deal I've linked to is via What Car for a 6 +23 payment profile, doing 8k/miles a year. The deal is offered by Lookers Nissan
There is a cheaper alternative but unfortunately it appears I can't link a deal to it (banned?)
Alternative (cheaper) deal, on same contract terms is via Sandicliffe, here. They charge a fee but payments are less and totals £4762 so about £55 less overall. Maybe get a dealer to match payments and wave fee making it even better?

Good deal, but hybrids are the way to go just now. Hopefully the price on those will drop.

There's a new leaf being released next month with a 40kwh battery, so keep that in mind if you want a new car.
I bought my leaf on PCP in April. It was 18 months old and costs me the same a month so this is a fair deal, but prices will fall more soon

PCP on a 'used' vehicle?

You can do it. You pay higher interest rates though.

Yep, they threw in a home charger, GAP and the cleaning stuff. I mostly did it for the home charger

Decent - but I pay less for a B250e Mercedes with a slightly longer range (albeit no rapid charge) and it's really great quality and fast as hell!

Nice car indeed but the lack of fast charging just kills it for most people looking in this segment. I'd be on the lookout for a new version ~2019 when the real competition is probably going to start (Tesla in proper production, Volvo new cars released , possible facelift (again) of the Golf ... loads of rumours and speculation, but exciting times.
I considered BEV, but went PHEV in the end (12 months ago now), thinking when my lease is up I will go BEV - Tesla3 the most likely candidate (75kWh version assuming it's available in the UK by then).

It's a perfect second car, which actually is now our main car... only need the other one (older diesel) for really long journeys. Need a hatch for my dog or else I'd be on the Tesla M3 - in fact I cancelled my reservation when there was no hatch option.

You can easily save £100+ a month on fuel and once you add in depreciation of your current car, you're not spending any more.

I got the 30Kw Tekna from the deals posted in Feb. Try and find one with 30kw/h battery even if it is a bit more money.

Yes, excellent. Almost bought one (or a Zoe) 3 years ago, but they weren't quite there yet. Bought as a 3rd car, but gets used most of the time now as its too easy. Even better got free electric at work and on Sundays at home at the moment, so the first 2300~ miles have only cost me £20 in "fuel".

By chance, I was on the MSE BG collective deal which ran out in Feb, British Gas had a tariff with the free electric on sat or sun (9-5) which I signed up for before the car. Milking it at the moment as it only lasts until next April and I think they've pulled the tariff. Saying that even if I would have had to pay for all the electric I think ~2300 miles would have been less than £65.

British Gas did an offer where you could have free Electricity on either a Sat Oct Sun. Not sure if they are still taking on new people.

I priced it up it was actually cheaper to get an economy 7 tariff. I pay 7.9p a kwh for 7 hours midnight to 7am every night. I set car to start at midnight.

Yes it is for most people who are out all day and charge in the evening or night.
