I got this for £55 from Argos eBay. It's ok, I little sluggish at times but useable. The speakers are what clinched it for me. They're brilliant and perfect for having the tablet mounted on a wall.

I too wanted to know about this or the Bush.
Not fussed about size. But 32GB on the bush seems better.

The speakers are nice and I got poweramp with effects and the atmos working together. Anyone know how to get Google Assistant to work reliably on these?

Effects and atmos.. tell me more please? I think Google assistant has bugs still, not the tablets fault.

Would this perform better than an Amazon fire HD 8?

Yes, a Kindle Fire is not a proper Android tablet but an Amazon mutated thing. I was bought one as a present - in the end I gave it to a friend. I've got proper Android phones and tablets and there are a lot of differences.
