I'll be quite honest, I'm not the techiest of people but son seems to think this is a decent offer & he is a bit more aware than me (he can work the blu-ray). Was posted a few weeks back at £119.99 & is now down to £99.99 C+C & you get a free £5 gift voucher back (take it over £100 & get £10 gift voucher).

Just be aware this isn't a full "HD" screen – the descriptions can be misleading. Resolution of 1280 x 800 on a 10.1" screen results in a relatively low pixel density, thus it won't be the sharpest screen. However, it means the battery will last longer. Swings and roundabouts.

anyone can comment on battery on these ? my kids mainly play minecraft and their fired hd 7 - I assume this will be better on battery ?

10 hours battery under specs so it should be good for at least 6-7 hours

Amazon apparently estimates 8 hours of battery life on the Fire HD 7 but you'd get closer to 6–7 hours if playing a game like minecraft. Argos estimate 10 hours of battery life on the Lenovo Tab 3. The above tablet does appear to have a larger battery size (7000mah) compared to the Kindle so it should be better on battery theoretically by a couple of hours
This definitely works. Reserved online but paid in store on machine. Asks if you want a bag, just add 5p one.

I wonder if the manned checkout staff will allow you to add carrier bag to be eligible for voucher?

I really don't know, but if you're going to pay by card anyway and you have internet access, why not just reserve online (you have until closing time the next day to collect I think) and pay in store at one of the terminals? I'd understand why not if you want to pay cash though.

Reason I was putting the question is because my local Argos only have manned checkout, no self service terminals! Actually I may go for the Argos eBay refurbished one!

The refurb model is Model number: TB-X103F This one is Model number: za1u0002gb. Any one know if there is any difference ???

I don't know if this helps, but on the front of the box of the new one I bought from Argos, it says TB-X103F, but on the back above one of the barcodes, it says ZA1U0002GB. So I'd guess they're the same, one is the model number and I'm not sure what the other is! But mine displays both numbers in different places. Best guess, someone wasn't sure which of the many numbers that appear on the label on the back with various numbers was actually the model number, and took a guess.

Bag thing didn't work forms.. Cashier said it was a government charge and not a purchase.

Strange ... it worked for '77andyb' - although he paid for it at a machine in-store, rather than going to a cashier. Perhaps the cashier was being "difficult" !

Same here. I guess there must be a glitch on the system when using self payment machines...?

On a drive back from West Sussex to Manchester my son watched films on this all the way home and the battery lasted so for me this is a great battery life considering traffic and a few pitstops we drove for over 7 hours.

If paying for it in-store, buy a 5p carrier bag
