Use coupon BOOKPRO in basket to get this price (credit to smileypete for the £177 price). Decent Windows based laptop alternative to say a Chromebook.

Just buy some keyboard stickers from Amazon or Ebay - they're only £2 or so and work perfectly. For example:
As soon as I saw this Ezbook I thought this looks like a clone of an S400 or similar machine which in turn is a clone of a Macbook Air.
Just not feeling this deal at all, appreciate the post but nah.

I disagree with completely. This laptop is light and portable and USP is its FHD screen. It has a quite decent battery life click (fast forward to 8mins 23s) of 7hr 30mins+. You can also dual boot Linux mint as well (optional). I think if your're a student this is quite good for less than £200.

Also fanless, AC wireless .M2 SSD slot, full metal build, 2xUSB3
The features and build quality this price bracket from chinese ODMs has made huge strides recently.
Intel Apollo Lake was only released late last year. It's a much more modern CPU and chipset.
That Asus you linked to was £700. Obviously a better CPU but with a worse screen and heavier at 1.8kg. This is lighter, thinner, with a better screen and only £191!

'If you pay three times more you get three times more' or that's what conventional wisdom says, but in this case you pay three times more and get three times LESS! This laptop has a FHD screen, is featherlight and has a battery which lasts 7h plus. Yours cannot hold a candle to this.

So you are comparing the $400 Asus S400CB with an Core i7-3517U to this?
You must be on a different planet.

Really interested in this, wonder if I would get hit by customs?

If the package is from outside the UK (not from their UK warehouse) and Gearbest don't insure you against extra charges then it's likely you will pay them.
It's not hard to find information just search on Google, for example >
I have ordered loads from gearbest and simlar websites and never paid customs

I've ordered 2 laptops from Gearbest this year. Both arrived via yodel within 2 weeks with no fees.

I bought it and just went for the standard shipping. There was free expedited delivery via DHL which would of arrived sooner but I thought the standard one would have more chance getting by customs fingers crossed. Any idea how much customs would be ?
The gold versions don't come with wireless AC - they're wireless N (hence the slightly cheaper price).

You'd have to pry my trusty C720 from my cold, dying hands before i give mine up.

Haha I love it tried to replace it with a lenovo 100s but hated it and decided to install a bigger ssd in my C720 and install windows which runs great. Just love the look of this laptop and the fact it is IPS 1080p and all aluminum? And the fact it is 13.3" should be great.

You only need stickers for £/$ signs, the # key and maybe a couple of others.
Check out the Asus S400CB from 4 years ago to see what I mean (it's a better laptop as well than this) >
