From the link you post ID have a rating of 1.4 out of 10, and from the reviews on the same website, O2 & Vodafone are worse, EE have the same 1.4 rating. You need to use some common sense, because people rarely go online to review a product that does what it is supposed to do, and often go online to post when they have an issue, which leads to an unfair review. I have used ID for a couple of years now and they have been ace, reception has been as good as or better (when we went to Wales) than the Mrs on O2, the app is the best I've used for a network, and the CS answered call in a few minutes when I called (to change the deal I was on). The only slight issue was when I wanted to change my deal and keep my number, I had to transfer to another network and back again. You can cap your bill in case you go over your data/text/minutes (which I've never done), and I think you'll find from a lot of the negative reviews posted that people are moaning about going over their allowance and getting charged extra, which happens on all networks, and as I've stated the app is great and tells you exactly how much you have left, so who's fault is it if you go over your allowance?
Ps, I've never used EE or O2 before so won't comment on them, but I have used virgin and Vodafone before, and I'd are leagues ahead of those.

Personal experience. The top review is mine, incidentally. I've used most of the phone companies, ID are by far the worst. Three are a close second. Of course you have to take reviews with a pinch of salt, and also look at the number of reviews posted as well as what people are saying. People do post good reviews (most of my trust pilot reviews are good), but of you're right, most people only do when there's an issue.

If you want bad, try TPO! I've NEVER had anywhere near as bad cs from ANY company as I had from them, time after time. They screwed up pretty much each and every thing I contacted them about! I had a nightmare with Tesco where I asked to give my notice and she ended my contract there and then and even that wasn't as bad! Had issues with Life Mobile porting my Mother's number across etc, but still nothing to touch that useless pack of.....*deep breath* Basically, how many of us call telecom companies cs dept unless there's an issue? Not many. How often to they sort things out and we hang up being satisfied? 50% of the time if you're lucky! I have to decide between ID and Plusnet for a cheap sim only for my Mother, it seems much of a muchness between the two.

Hi Balluju, our plans have changed over the past few months and we no long offer the Takeaway plan. We not have one plan for all, this include data rollover, the ability to cap the account and inclusive EU Roaming.

Both ID and TPO have terrible customer service from personal experience. No harm giving them a go to save money but if something does go wrong just switch to a different network.

With ID mobile its not as simple as switching - you have to give 30 days notice and depending on when you give notice you have to pay for that month and the next month - or in my case also the following month and then another month... until I decided they have taken enough of my money and just cancelled my direct debit from my bank. They then took out over £130 from my bank account without authorisation - their terms and conditions allow them to do this - and they then gave me a bad credit rating.

i've used them for months with no problems!! i've never had to contact them, i get good internet speeds at a good price and coverage is excellent in my area and on motorways, trains, etc
people only complain about things online and hardly ever go online to give something a good review which would explain the skew in ratings.

My son is on ID - he was on the 4gb for £10 and we've never had any problems.
I rang to cancel last week as I was going to move him onto the 16gb for £10.75 Vodafone e2save/mobiles.co.uk deal. It was a British call centre and I was offered either 15gb for £15 or 20gb for £20 both on a rolling month. I took the 15gb deal which was effective immediately.
Still happy with ID.

wouldnt say three/IDmobile is a crap network - just marginalised.
All the other networks have agreements with shopping centres and retail outlets etc
Thats why when you visit certain places and stores three network signal is always weak.
BT (BT mobile / EE / Plusnet) are by far and away the best - find they have the strongest signal and best coverage. I tend to find most BT services of good quality

Speak for yourself - I've found EE to be the worst, yes the signal can appear better than 3 but had regular issues of no data throughput on their 4G network (which i never had on any other network except Voda 2G).
Apparently I have both a faulty phone & sim card that mysterious work fine on all other networks... :face_with_monocle:
