I've purchased directly from HP Store (Got Work Discount) have bad experience with eBuyer with their services but they are the cheapest available seller. I do not know if this promotion is for re-seller only, I will update this post when my trade-in gone through.

£50 Cashback , can you claim both ?, if so they are paying you to buy the printer !

I believe you can not stack the cashback, the terms says 'may not' but the promotion website would detect the same serial number your entered for trade in.
£100 trade-in is better, if you can't find a useless printer than £50 cashback is easier.

Does anyone have one - are these any good for photo printing?

I've got the version in black (8725) and while I haven't tried it on photo paper I've not noticed any issues with images generally.

You would assume Amazon is a main reseller for HP, but if they don't publish the promotion on their website you may not get the trade-in or cashback promotion. Just contact Amazon?
Oddly the links posted on here is automatically converted by HUKD, try searching "HP Global Promotions" top link. It will display trade-in and cashback offers for printers.

How does the free ink offer work? Can I register the ink offer and get 2 months supply for free then cancel the subscription?

Instant ink works as a subscription offer, let's say you put your print allowance 1000 per month. You are allowed to print upto 1000 per month within that time you get ink sent to you when your printer is getting low. You must be connected to the internet, and you won't get ink sent out until you run almost dry. That is what I read....

Corret
Correct, however the highest no of pages you can go for is 300/month, their 'frequent plan'. Instant Ink does not cater to office-type workflows, they will lose a lot of money that way.

That's true, I didn't think the print allowance was low. But then I don't print much for myself, I've got the HP 7740 which isn't available for instant ink.

No, the catridges sent as part of the offer only work while you're subscribing
You can cancel at any time and your sub will end at the end of that month (so cancel after first month and sub will terminate within the free 2 months).
You can use code FREEINK to get an extra free month, it will stack with any free months that come with the printer. If you know anyone that is an existing subscriber you can ask them (not allowed on forum threads) for a referral code and get another extra month. Easiest way is to enter these during printer setup and instant ink setup.
If you get the printer its definitely worth singing up for instant ink and rinsing the free months. Depending on how much you print and what you print it can still work out competitive against buying carts once the trial expires. For example if you print lots of full colour pages and will roughly hit the plan page limit, its worth considering. If you print text/black and white predominantly and won't use up the plan pages, probably not worth it.

In my experience they sent carts straight away, despite the starter carts still having ink. But we got the 8710 with ~£80 instant ink credit plus 3 months free trial, so perhaps thats why they sent the carts.
Its worth bearing in mind the instant ink carts will be disabled once your subscription ends. From what I understand your starter carts will become instant ink carts, therefore it may be worth rinsing them until they are almost empty before signing up for the trial. I don't believe theres any way to sign up without an active cart in the printer, but I didn't look to hard as wasn't too bothered about the starter carts.
