Lots of deals for similar ones from China, like the Jumper Ezbook 3 Pro(I've got one), but this is fulfilled by Amazon, which means you get Amazon customer service, send it back if you don't like, no questions asked.
There is no mention of metal shell, it would appear to be metal on the official website. The spec is a bit vague, but given you can send it back easily, not really an issue.
N3450 processor 4Gb ram(cannot upgrade) 64gb eMMC(cannot upgrade, but there is a M.2 slot) 14" 1080p screen, says IPS(hopefully!) M.2 slot seem to mention it, so you can add 2242 128/256/512gb M.2 wifi looks like dual band n (not ac) Type C usb, its in the description and pictures, (no idea if its video/charging/audio) 8 hour battery life weight, I'm going to guess at 1.4kg, not the 1.8kg they say
Not bad for extremely light surfing and office work.

I would guess it is the plastic version, there being a fair few out there, weight about 1.7KG.
I cannot see any reason whatsoever for the seller to understate.

It's metal build and 1.31kg.
Even lighter than that ancient 2GB Cherry Trail laptop you posted the other day which you claimed to be the lightest 14" laptop in the world!

en.bben.com/Pro…tml I can't believe they would produce a plastic model and call it the same name. There are lots of other things that are easily changed but I don't think the casing is one of them. Most listed on aliexpress are 1.4kg, which is the same weight as the Ezbook 3 Pro, this is a 14" so it maybe 1.5Kg.

Seller is in Guangdong. So being fulfilled by Amazon means we don't have to wait weeks for the kit. Is that the only advantage? I assume Amazon plays no part in Customer Service?

Pretty sure anything fulfilled by Amazon gets full Amazon customer service

Yes it does, that's what I think makes the difference here, you get a laptop with a good spec for the price, a warranty and the ability to easily send it back, I would say this more than covers the price increase of around £40 over ordering from China. You will pay £40 in VAT and handling fee if you order from China and end up paying customs. If it turns out that the screen is TN rather than IPS or a 48mhz, send it back. If its plastic rather than metal, pretty sure it will be metal, send it back. As long as it has dual band wifi, the fact it lacks ac I don't think makes a huge difference.
The RAM can not be upgraded, its built in. The 64gb eMMC is built in but they say there is an M.2 slot where you can add an M.2 SSD, think it will be limited to 2242 size.
At the end of the day you have bought the right to have a look at it and check it out, if you don't like it send it back, no questions asked, its what the consumer rights act gives you!!

Seems quite heavy but otherwise looks reasonable.

Never getting another Intel Atom. Horribly laggy and slow

Well it's a Celeron so that's ok...
But seriously you're obviously overworking whatever it was you had before as the latest Atom/Celeron chips are perfectly fine - even the Surface 3 uses one

Looks like the same laptop as the TBao T-Book 4 except that they've given this BBen one only 4GB ram instead of 6GB and a TN screen. Also likely that it won't have a valid version of Windows if comes from the same ODM.
Not worth the £223 IMO, even if Amazon are dealing with the CS. Screen flicker, TN screen, possibly no valid Windows licence, no wireless AC, and other quirks, means that the £175 Jumper 3 Pro still the best deal out of China IMO, followed by the Chuwi Lapbook 12.3 (£210+).
