While this is a steal if you are lucky enough to find one be aware that 3TB WD Reds (the drive in this) have quite a high failure rate of 7.65% with an average life of 16.3 months (in a server farm environment based on a sample of 1085 drives). In short (as with any drive) MAKE SURE YOU MAKE MULTIPLE BACKUPS !

I think you might be confusing these with the MyCloud ones, which definitely contain the reds. I like them, they're quiet and I haven't failed one yet. Still, you should definitely have backups, regardless of which drives you use, so good advice!

Perfectly fine for use with xbox game installs if it crashes just download again on a replacement drive
