Cocked up my initial order, demanded a credit check before accepting the replacement order (treating me like I was trying to defraud them, when it was their system that went wrong), and denied me the Quidco cashback I was due.
Then proceeded to bill me the wrong amount each month (overcharged) three months in a row, despite me calling them every month and them promising me they'd fix it.
Easily the worst company I've ever dealt with for customer service.

\I had the same problem as damadgeruk in the end I went through resolver which was then escalated to the ombudsman. Ended up with a new smart ultra 7 kept my ultra 6 that had the screen glue problem. And the ombudsman ordered them to send me a written apology and £30. My advice is to go through resolver it's really easy don't let Vodafone give you the runaround.

Seems good to me depending how easily it can be unlocked.
Any ideas in the antutu score?
How does it compare to the smart platinum 7

The Platinum 7 has a significantly better quality screen (QHD AMOLED), and processor Snapdragon 652 vs 435 in the V8. The only downfall of the Platinum 7 is that it's still on Marshmallow, albeit with security patches to June 2017.

Snapdragon 435, seems expensive compared to Vodafone ZTE Blade a512 at £69(assuming you manage to avoid the £10 top up as I did).

It took a while but my Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 got an OTA upgrade from Android 5.1 to 6.0 so they do to upgrades occasionally.

On the plus side, Vodafone offer a 2 year warranty though you might have to remind them as they are prone to 'forgetting'.

a lot wouldn't want the risk but rather take the punt on a mi5 for tiny bit more for significantly better phone
