I know the hate for FreedomPop is real, I get it I really do. However, they are listening to users complaints and making positive changes and are offering a deal that I think is worth considering!
You can get Unlimited Minutes, Unlimited Texts, and 2.25GB 4G Data (On Three network) for £5.99 a month, with the first month FREE and NO contract!
Payment is in 3 month instalments of £17.97 (£5.99 x 3) and should you feel the need to cancel, they will offer a prorated refund to make sure you aren't left out of pocket.
Just to recap, NO special app is required for Calls/Text, just pop in the sim as you would any other and off you go!
Also, Voicemail is FREE and automatically included. Number porting is now also FREE.
So there ya go. I think it's worth giving respect to a company that listen to their customers to make positive changes to their service.

Op, how about some disclosure.
Are you working for / being paid by / benefitting from FreedomPop in any way other than a regular customer?
Your defending this company so vehmently makes me suspicious. Sorry.

Just a warning if you intend to use the free plan
- There is NO customer service unless you pay for premium plans. Ie if you call them they say they cannot help you until you pay to upgrade
- I have not managed to log in to the support site to submit tickets (recurrent log in page problem) for support so once again NO customer service
- They are very happy to suddenly freeze your account even though you still have allowance left. You cannot access support (see above 2 points) so you are stuck without any data or calls or texts.
- No roaming
- calls out ie VOIP is completely unusable, extremely poor quality calls even with good signal.
- You need the app for outgoing calls and text unless you pay for premium voice (OP says free- it is NOT free)
- You need to pay for voicemail- it is NOT free
- Number porting has never worked and it is impossible to contact support to get a PAC code (see points 1 and 2).

I mean it and can give you to cut my hand, you will be in BIG trouble with this company...as soon as you give credit card details; there is no way to control how money are taken by these jokers. They will charge you the way they like, will end up in endless emails with foolish explanations.

I signed up to a FreedomPop US SIM whilst in the US. Bad mistake. Despite it supposedly being $0.99 a month with a free cancel they continued to take $32.98 the next month even though I had cancelled. Luckily PayPal were very good and refunded my money. I eventually got some replies from their customer services which were full of bad excuses. Am surprised they are allowed to continue as I am not the only one who has been through this

I appreciate that, and that's been the experience for a lot of people in the past, but they have made positive steps to change how their service works, and given the fact they listened to their customers and have made positive strides going forward, they deserve another chance at getting it right, but that's just my opinion

So payment is 3months upfront at total £17.97 charged every 3 months. Is that correct? Thanks.

The first month is free, and I believe you agree a payment date for the next 3 months towards the end of the first month.

This was only last month. They actually took $27.98 and $32.98 for a service which was meant to be $0.99
Not worth the bother in my opinion, best going with Three directly
