Been a major Uncharted fan from the beginning, and agree that 2 is all round, best of the series.
This however, is a game nobody asked for, two boring charterers plucked solely to make a PC statement by the devs; a sign of the times, expect this game to be sub tenner in 3 months.
Would've been much more interesting to have a backstory on Sully.

I was under the impression that Chloe was a fan favourite. And some were disappointed that she wasn't in 4. Wouldn't say "nobody" asked for this.

Your own opinion and you are entitled to it. Whilst I personally agree that UC2 was the best in the series I have always felt that Chloe as a lead in a spin off would be great even before any announcement of this game, far from boring a character, the stand off love triangle of Elena, Chloe and Nate are reasons behind the humour that made some of the storyline of UC2 so great.
Obviously (no spoilers for anyone reading) the standard story arc of Uncharted has now come to an end, and I would agree a further backstory on Sully (aside the one in UC3) would be great, as would back stories on other characters, time will tell but it is clear Naughty Dog have intentions to carry on the franchise with side stories.
I don't think Naughty Dog have done this game to make any politically correct statement, plenty of female protagonists in video gaming in recent years, Horizon: Zero Dawn being one of this years top sellers.
Having only introduced Nadine in UC4 and taking the option to further a storyline on events after UC4, the relationship/stand off of these two protagonists I feel will be interesting.

I had the same problem for awhile too. But then I found out they had a Shopto app, which is alot better.

I think Uc3 was the best, walking aimlessly through the desert was incredible!

Hardly a refutation of what I said, kinda what I was screaming when I said '...a sign of the times...' Horizon: Zero Dawn was clearly a PC statement, so too was Overwatch on multiple levels, this list is exhausting, as you say.
It's no different in comics or movies, what with Spider Man being both black and gay in the comic and who can forget ghostbusters 2016?
Indeed, as you've noticed the huge upswing, tell me is it pure coincidence or is there an underlying ideological drive?
I didn't mind a healthy variance in the selection of protagonists, but the overt war on white males is getting exhausting, especially with long standing, well established characters such as in Ghostbusters.
We've just had the new Doctor revealed, tell me massive coincidence, or part of an ideological push? I don't mind too much here, as it is plausible.
2018 Jane Bond, an empowered black trans disabled agent...called it!
