Who's your source?! genuinely interested. They might do 5-6 million worldwide (imo) a third will probably be the less flattering US snes units and prob another third will be the jap version with different games so that's not a whole lot left for the rest to fight over. Although saying that they are region free so to speak, so you could grab a US one and it would play the same.

The SNES Mini only has access to a tiny number of SNES games (maybe 23?). With an emulator you a)don't need extra kit in your house, b)can play all previous SNES games.

But the appeal of these mini consoles is the console itself, to me anyway. I have emulators on my pc but would rather hook up a mini console to my tv anyday.

I don't disagree with you on principle. Just saying a zero won't cut it. You'll need a 3 for SNES and up.
