There seem to be quite a lot of VPNs around at the moment. I think it really depends on whether they will still be around in years to come and on the number of points throughout the world that they can maintain. I don't use this one but the one I use which is quite a lot cheaper (isn't available now) but seems ok so far. Hmm. I don't know why regular users need these services. A 'VPN' service doesn't equal privacy...Even the review linked seems to be written simplistically and with little understanding of what's actually going on. Plus the fact that there appears to have been a database leak from this service which indicates that they indeed do log IP ingress among other things...

Why does anyone need a VPN, what do you have to hide? Genuinely curious

Are you 'genuinely curious'? Why? When it's so easy to find out, just google for 'why use a vpn' For instance: lifehacker.co.uk/201…eds

A policeman gives you a choice as to whether you want to be strip searched or not. You have nothing incriminating on you. Do you allow him to carry out a strip search even though you have nothing to hide? No... Privacy is privacy regardless of what you are doing, sometimes.
