Morrisons have dropped there Pork Shoulder down to £2.50 KG this week. Makes great Pulled Pork and if you go instore and ask at the Butchers Counter they will cut the rind off for you and re-tie it. Have bought them up to 4kg in size from them in the past.
Lovely with a vinegar based sauce poured over the meat once pulled and some Monterey Jack melted over it, and for a bit of gentle heat add some homemade chipotle coleslaw, for the people that like a bit of heat with theirs.

I used to work as an apprentice butcher at Morrison's, but was sacked after a mis-understanding.
I didn't realise what he meant when he told me bone a pig in the back!

OK for crackling if planning to roast it. Not so good for pulled pork where you want the marinade or rub to penetrate into the meat.

Is it best to rub your meat before sticking it in?
In the oven, silly.
