Hive Heating and Hot Water with installation, lowest price I've ever seen it.
For those like me needing 2 zones, I'd recommend ordering the multi-zone at the same time, BG will install both in the same visit for the £156 price you paid on your primary stat.
With that said, the stats are wireless so if you're comfortable you could remove the second zone Stat yourself (consult a qualified person), turn off your RCD/Fuses, remove Stat, tape wiring and screw Hive mount over the top. Not advocating this and as above I'd order both on the deal price to be fitted by a professional, but it's not difficult as a DIYER.
Motion Sensors v2 - £17.99 Smart hub - £40.49 Smart Plug v2 - £24.29 Active Light White - £11.24 Active Light Tuneable White - £17.99 Active Light Colour - £25.19 Multizone - £62.99
These prices are lower than black friday, so a good deal.
£103 self install not bad. Personally think toolstation deal for v1 for £60 is better, as there's no real advantage having newer thermostat. If someone insists on the newer thermostat this is a great deal.

Not allowing you to purchase sensors or plug only

Great mod work, just delete the reply I made and leave the guy wondering, bravo!
You can buy any singular item, I just tested it. The deal link is just for the thermostat.

If like me you have a multi-zoned heating system (upstairs & downstairs) you need V2, the deal for the V1 is good, but makes no sense if you have more comprehensive plumbing - greater efficiency.

Do British gas engineers still charge £150 when doing a vist for this ?

As per the title, £156 includes installation. Is this not clear from the title? Not being rude, just want to make sure people know what they're getting.

Does anyone know if the hub is included with the hive or if you need to buy it separately?

The hub is included with this price, along with anything else you need.

What's the difference between the hive and the nest? Why?

Nest is better, Hive is cheaper!

What I was asking, was British has used to offer hive for £150 installed if they happened to be at your house for a vist. Was asking if they still do this. Was probably my badly worded question

this or the Nest 3rd Gen for £139 ?.... no installation included though on that ....
are both Hive 2 and Nest 3 pretty much on par feature set wise?

Absolutely, given the ability to multi zone cheaply and the install inclusion this IMO is a much better deal.
Feature wise, they're almost identical now. Hive works typically via app control, or via timer, though obviously you can also run it using geo-location of your phone - turn on/off when I'm a mile away etc.
We used it all last winter and it didn't skip a beat, coupled with IFTTT and the Hive active lights I have in place it's a nice ecosystem.
