One that plug into a socket couldn't be easier, but the hardwired ones also has to be the easiest thing in the world. There's a plate behind the original oven its just like a plug , brown, blue, green/yellow. Oven comes with a cable, wire it up. Why pay some muppet tons of money to install it for you. If you can wire a plug you can do it. If not then yeah call a sparky since 99% of these company installers are not qualified electricians anyway.

There is such a thing as a gas oven. The old one needs to be removed by a gas safe engineer, likewise the new one has to be fitted by a gas safe engineer and a gas safe test and certificate issued. Bargain if its free or half price and yes the offer applies to gas as well as electric.

There are many things that can go wrong, being ignorant is no defence. If the company offers a service, they have to live up to it or face the consequences, you saying it's the easiest thing in the world is very short sighted, hope nobody suffers for your attitude. This is a saving from normal price and is a deal for those who don't do electrics or gas.

am a qualified electrician mate. these people who come along and install your oven are delivery drivers that know how to use a screwdriver. they are not electricians. anyone can do this job. if they don't feel confident sure. but if you know how to wire a plug they can manage to do this. why the hostility ?

If the oven comes with cable, then yes, if you can wire a plug, you can fit it yourself.
Some ovens dont come with cable, so then you have to make sure you get correctly rated, heat resistant cable (if you want to do it properly/safely)
