Great find op. Worth pointing out this is NOT a pressure fix gate. (I don't know why those are allowed or used on stairs. You have to have them loose enough to open, but then the child pushes against it and falls down the stairs tangled up with the thing. Pressure ones ok for crawling baby, but useless for toddlers, or people with more than one child. )

There is no bottom bar.

i have one of those and thats never happened. needs to be installed correctly tho, and must admit they arent the best design!

worth knowing that children can usually climb over them when they are 2.5 ish so id recommend getting the extra tall baby gates that will last a bit longer - only cos iv just had to buy new ones!
