John Lewis and PC World are both matching this price, this was previously 1,299.99 and still is on the Lenovo site. Up to date spec with USB-C ports, Kaby lake CPU, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 4k display. 2 year warranty from John Lewis. Tempted to buy this for myself...

It'd be quite tough for you to find a hybrid machine with similar specs for much less than that, it's 4K with the latest i7 processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. The only thing close I can think of is the Surface Pro 5, which will set you back a lot more than this for the same specs and will have a smaller screen. Lenovo got some of their laptop market share back with the popular Y500.

I`ve seen it and find that hinge hideous. Deal breaker for me.

Fair enough, personally I like it and it works very well, holds the screen nice and firmly which is good so that when you touch it it doesn't bounce.

wtf does it being a Lenovo have to do with the relative value of the deal?
Had it not been silver......the finish on silver keyboards and wrist areas always rubs off for me. Never again.

My apologies on that one, it is an i5, so the Surface comparison isn't 100% fair as they're running i7's. I still stand by my original comment though

If it was i7 I'd run out the door right now and grab 1!

Well they have been pretty nasty with the software on their default installations, even including keyloggers. But since they leapt straight to anger instead of explaining their position, we'll never know if they had a point or were just a passing troll.
