I've had many Casio watches over the years. They have always been reliable, I've never had a faulty one. That could be luck of the draw. However I normally use watches like this for work as they can take a knock and keep on ticking.

Anyone know if the alarm can be set for regular intervals, ie every 30 seconds that can be set on the countdown timer? Been looking for a watch that does this for interval training. Thanks

Unfortunately not; you have to press the button to start each and every countdown (There is no alternate "loop/repeat" countdown mode as with some other casio models). Plus: the strap didn't last very long on mine.

You can only set one alarm daily, and the watch also vibrates at the end of the countdown timer, but you cannot set it at regular intervals (unless you manually set the countdown timer again each time after it has finished).

I bought a couple of similar Chinese watches for my son and I to use swimming, wake boarding &c, they were (I think) $6 (about £4) each and have been absolutely fine. Would the Casio be be better? Probably not as such, but it would come with a UK guarantee, so your strap would have been fixed so from your perspective it would have been better. The flip side is that you could buy 5 similar Chinese watches for even this discounted (from the RRP that no one ever pays) price - which is the better deal? That depends on the buyer.
Casio make good watches, and this is a fine price for a perfectly good item.
