Even at this price, having just a single alarm on this watch seems quite restrictive. Instead I chose to purchase the excellent but slightly more expensive Casio 3403 GD-350 G Shock - see this short video review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbe2V7sOE1M&t=3s.....which has a choice of five independent alarms.
The vibration function is o.k. up to a point, but if I'm being absolutely honest, I don't reckon it would be powerful enough to wake you up in the morning for instance ! Admittedly the overall design is certainly more 'chunky' than I would have preferred, but this is offset by the comfortable pair of hinged 'stabilising' wings on the rear of the strap, which do a great job of preventing the watch from rotating unintentionally around your wrist. The light feature is pretty bright and can be set to illuminate for up to to 6 seconds ! Personally though, I'd highly recommend spending a little bit extra over this £19.99 Casio Men's Vibration Alarm Watch, but of course ymmv !

serious question as an ex pebble owner
what does bluetooth do on casio watches?

Good watch, I have the Solar model which looks very similar. Down side is the white lettering dissappears very quickly and it is difficult to find instructions on how to modify the settings which are far from straight forward.

Anyone know if the alarm can be set for regular intervals, ie every 30 seconds that can be set on the countdown timer? Been looking for a watch that does this for interval training. Thanks

Unfortunately not; you have to press the button to start each and every countdown (There is no alternate "loop/repeat" countdown mode as with some other casio models). Plus: the strap didn't last very long on mine.

You can only set one alarm daily, and the watch also vibrates at the end of the countdown timer, but you cannot set it at regular intervals (unless you manually set the countdown timer again each time after it has finished).

get this for that (and a whole load more). losing mine would be like losing a toe
I have a g-shock which is a great watch but this Casio mens vibration alarm watch is an equally good watch for a fraction of the price and it looks just as good..

you miss the point completely in a watch like this. be reliable, never need to charge and tell the time. Get a G-Shock and you can also treat to all manner of things totally safe in the knowledge it won't break

Why spend double when you can get a Casio from Argos for £10?

No Bluetooth?
And I can see that Casio watches are as ugly as ever.

Since when was it essential for watches to have Bluetooth?

I bought a couple of similar Chinese watches for my son and I to use swimming, wake boarding &c, they were (I think) $6 (about £4) each and have been absolutely fine. Would the Casio be be better? Probably not as such, but it would come with a UK guarantee, so your strap would have been fixed so from your perspective it would have been better. The flip side is that you could buy 5 similar Chinese watches for even this discounted (from the RRP that no one ever pays) price - which is the better deal? That depends on the buyer.
Casio make good watches, and this is a fine price for a perfectly good item.

cold. these have been this price for months on amazon.
Battery just died on my old one after about 4-5 years.
Second one I've owned after first one succumbed to seawater ingress.

I've had many Casio watches over the years. They have always been reliable, I've never had a faulty one. That could be luck of the draw. However I normally use watches like this for work as they can take a knock and keep on ticking.
