On holiday we reckon you should be able to top up your tan and your Instagram. That's why we're helping you to Go Roam around the world without splashing any extra cash in places like the USA and Australia. We've already set up your phone, so you're free to get up, get out and #holidayspam in 60 destinations around the world from June 2017. Keep data roaming on and use your data, and call and text back to the UK, just like you do at home. So go on, get out of airplane mode, and into holiday mode. Now that is the feeling of roaming the world at no extra cost. Go Roam.
Now in 50 destinations including USA, Australia, Germany, Portugal, Greece and many more. For a list of current destinations where customers can Go Roam, see below.
From 15 June 2017 we’ll be adding the following destinations: Brazil, Singapore, Aland Islands, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion, Saint Barthélemy, Saint Martin and San Marino.
That's more destinations where you can use your phone abroad at no extra cost than any other UK mobile network.
Share your phone’s internet with other devices such as tablets and laptops. This can be really handy when you’re away from a WiFi network. You can use all of your data allowance as a personal hotspot unless you’ve chosen a plan with All-you-can-eat data in which case you can use up to 30GB of this each month as a personal hotspot allowance in the UK.

I went with 3 last time they had a decent cashback offer. Worst phone call quality ever. I can barely hear a single word. EE is much better. 3 suck.

Strange, as Three and EE share masts in places.

I had the opposite experience ee is by far the worst phone company i have ever used. Most of the west of scotland uncovered. Central Edinburgh patchy and where i lived hopeless. Switched after a month. 3 has 4g pretty much wherever i go

Three UK state these three things on their web site for Roam while at home, all of which EE permit, which you may find interesting:
1. If you have all-you-can-eat data you can use up to 12GB roaming. If you have all-you-can-eat texts you can send up to 5,000 texts. If you have 3,000 or more minutes included in your allowance you can use up to 3,000 minutes.
2. You can't use your phone as a personal hotspot (tethering) while you're abroad.
3. You can’t use your minutes allowance to make calls to local or other international numbers, as you can only use your inclusive minutes to call UK numbers, whether you’re in the UK or a Feel At Home destination.

I quoted the three deal to ee retention and they offered unlimited mins and text. 30gb data 12months bt sport for £20.99 a month for 12 months. 3s speeds are very slow in comparison to ee.

I bought this plan a few weeks ago and love it. I don't have broadband where I currently live and I can watch anything I want using 3's 4G. Speeds are decent and the whole 30GB can be used as a hotspot. You can also pay £5 more for an addon if you use all your data in the current month to get unlimited data which another 30GB is usable via hotspot meaning with the addon you get a total of 60GB to use as a hotspot and unlimited 4G on your device...
All in all, a bargain and I am really happy cheeky

Got unlimited minutes/texts and 30GB data for £15/month, agreed yesterday as a renewal deal.
FYI feel at home is only included with advance plans (which these are), but from 15/6/17 all customers (including essential plans) will be able to use their allowance in all EU countries without charge (but not non-EU countries included in feel at home e.g. USA, New Zealand etc).
