Some great prices available if you play around with dates, of even if you're able to go in the first place?
Couple of points to note, car insurance isn't the cheapest with this deal but don't know if you can decline the car and arrange your own, if you wanted one?
It is possible to stay at the hotel and use disney transport to get to the parks (I'm guessing?).
Don't know if transfers were included in these prices as they include a car, if that makes sense?
Sanford is a nice airport, gets bigger every time I go but it's still smaller than Orlando (MCO) and it's usually a lot quicker to get through, the baggage reclaim/customs/immigration bit of it. (was an hour and forty minutes getting through Orlando in March  and it wasn't that busy!)
Downside to Sanford is it's about an hour north of where you want to be, which is something else to factor in when you're hot and tired and just want to sit down and grab a burger
The car hire company will tell you that you can use the quick/fast pay lane on any toll roads and it will be automatically billed to your credit card, which is great and really convenient.
But that convenience comes at a price as it's $3-4 a day service charge, when you use the toll road fast pay lane?
Not a great deal but it adds up if you're nipping on a toll road for one stop, say $1 charge but then a $4 service fee?
You can of course pay in cash at a booth but some of the booths are now unmanned and as such you need the correct change, which isn't always possible when you've only just landed?
Food can get expensive, depending where you want to eat.
Most of the fast food restaurants tend to have coupon booklets available which can help if there's something in them that takes your fancy?
Other restaurants tend to have specials on on certain days so it's worth googling or asking if you're there anyway.
Restaurants expect you to tip! Anything between 15-20% is considered normal and it's something I've done in the past, although the exchange rate at the minute makes tipping expensive so I'd only tip if someone has made your visit a pleasant one? (or is that just me being mean?)
A little like Zeek over here there are a couple of giftcard outlets online (giftcardgranny is one I've used before) where you can purchase a gift card and get it sent to your phone and then use in the restaurant you're thinking of visiting, doesn't always save you loads of money but it often covers the tip and you were going there anyway?
An ESTA is needed for entry into Florida (used to be the green I-94 visa waiver form that was free), it's $14 each applied for online before you go.
They last 2 years, but it's another £50 if there's 4 of you as everybody needs one (unless you've got the visa waiver in your passport but can't remember exactly how that works? Mine's stamped in my old passport so haven't tried using it since having the new one)
Don't forget to book the extra days car parking at the airport this side if you're taking the car?
It's a 14 day/two week holiday so you only need 14 days/two weeks parking?
Nearly all these flights land on the morning after you take off, so you lose a night flying back and this means you need 15 days car parking.
(only mentioning as I've done it before and the car wasn't there when I was! Didn't take too long to get it sorted but it was still something I didn't need after an 8 hour flight  )
Just thought I'd mention, hope it helps someone.
Time to go and tackle the plug that's stuck in the sink, can you tell I was putting off doing something
