Alot of Curved TV's being reduced. Not surprised to be honest!

What's the general consensus on curved TV's? I'm a bit out of the loop, are they considered a fad or are they actually any good?

It's last years stock clearance so you'll see more details even on flat ones. But yeah only Samsung is/has released 2017 curved tvs.

Curved is being obsolete hence the price drops..
It was just a marketing trick,a gimmick to boost declining TV sales 2 years ago.
no real benefit except style.

They are supposed to be good if your sat in the sweet spot directly in front and more immersive for gaming, but for a family room, the idea is that a flat panel offers better angles.. I always thoguh they are stupid for wall mounting though.

The massive lag on TVs + the pitiful performance of consoles means even a curved TV isn't going to immerse me.

Depends, I have a KS7000 with HDR enabled i still get 23MS of lag which is pretty good, but yes PC you can get 2-3ms lag, playing something like bloodborne on a 55" TV cannot really be emulated on a PC.. horses for courses.
