Bargain price and I heated this deal BUT.
It's beyond me why anyone will get this and not the Xiaomi Yeelight, which has 65 million colours and doesn't require a hub. Perhaps it's a brand and marketing thing.
Well, horses for courses I guess but I have the Yeelight and I'm quite happy with them.

Bulbs work out almost free of you sell the bridge for a reasonable price on eBay after fees etc.

£30 at Asda and screw white hue bulbs are £4 there too, get 2x bayonet adapters from Ikea for £1. Iris and light strip etc also half price. Just bought into the Hue system and noticed after Ikea do a smart lighting system where the colour temperature of the bulb is actually adjustable.

party mode goes to beat of your music playing?
timer function , set lights to switch on off at times you like ?
mood lighting dim or bright
security ,switch lights on when you're away from home via mobile app from anywhere in the world
also you could add a WiFi socket and plug a radio ,TV into , again control from anywhere o
