We've been using the Aldi version, Norpak. They changed the recipe a while back, so now it's closer in flavour to Lurpak.

Jeeeez calm down! I have removed the word "butter" from the title.
I am indeed a "helper"....sorry but I do not have time time to read the Foods Description Act.

Some good alternatives out there but for the extra 25p or so I'd always take the real thing

Switched from Lurpak to Norpak a while back to save ££, tastes and looks the same.
Ingredients look to be exactly the same so I wouldn't be surprised if it's manufactured by Arla for Aldi.

I tried the Lidl version of Lurpak too. It was spreading really weird and only coming out in small clumps. Much prefer Lurpak at £2. Plus the lidl versions (normal and light) have palm oil in the ingredients (google palm oil).
Heat for the deal. But this £2 just for one tub can usually be found in one of the supermarkets at any time. Anchor too. Buy 3 tubs, 2 in the freezer one in the fridge until it goes on special again...

Got to agree - £1.75 all day at Aldi - can't see the need for the premium

It's not true butter but as my mother would call 'slap'.
You slap it on and wipe it off.

Perhaps the 'helper' needs to read the Foods Description Act.
